32 weeks, 8 months

We've hit another milestone! 8 months, 32 weeks.
I have an amazing support system, at home and at work. Everyone has been amazing.
Less kicking overall yet more feet and elbow pushes and lots and lots of hiccups!
I can't believe how time has flown. He will be here before we know it.

Thanksgiving

We are very thankful for so many things this year. Starting with our wonderful family and new addition on the way, Joy's completion of chemotherapy and ever improving health, having a roof over our head and in a couple weeks hopefully our very first home, and our amazing circle of friends.

This year we were able to see both the Sherwin and Schneider families.

After stopping by David & Carol's we headed out to Ventura to Eric's Grandparent's. It was a busy yet wonderful day filled with too much food and lots of laughs. As a celebration of Joy's fight with breast cancer we got together and all wore pink for support. After a strip tease by George to show off his pink shirt, we enjoyed a great meal.

Crazy that Hanukkah and Christmas is just around the corner!

3rd Trimester!

We have made it to the 3rd trimester (28+ weeks)!

So far everything is looking good medically, I am growing by the minute, getting lots of good kicks, and per our last ultrasound he has turned head down. We had an awesome experience of the 3/4D ultrasound that included a setting for the (grand)parents and Eric, a large screen on the wall, and a DVD of our little guy! Amazing.

Look at his biceps already! He also has all fingers and toes...

Visit from TN

Nice this weekend to have a visit from our sister and niece, Danette and Izabella, from Tennessee. Got some wonderful moments with all the nieces together playing and loving each other. Looking forward to throwing a little boy in the mix!

6 Months

We are officially past the 6 month mark!

Had our check up where the midwife asked if our little guy was moving around and I reassured her there's been a lot of movement. The midwife then pulls out the Doppler ultrasound (a pen shaped one) and our baby kicked her ultrasound pen! She responded with a "thank you!" I guess he is already a tad bit feisty :)

Here are the 6 month belly pictures:

Hiccups!

10/8/08
Eric has been really wanting to feel the baby kicking and FINALLY he enjoyed a little "pulse" as he called it! That same night I felt the baby hiccup for the first time. Incredible.

10/10/08
Eric turned 30!!!

Just a little update :)

Disneyland

Last weekend we went to Disneyland for probably the last time in a while. After I started at Kaiser, we took advantage of the discounted passes and it was our little getaway once a month for some fun rides, over indulgent food, and fun fun people watching.
Since we found out we were expecting a baby, Disneyland has become a little more slow mainly due to the fact we had to cut 75% of the rides out :( So our trips have slowed down a bit.
Pretty cool this time of year with all the Halloween and fall decorations and especially the Haunted Mansion all decked out in Nightmare Before Christmas.
Unfortunately we won't have our passes anymore during the Holiday season, to see small world in its silver and gold and snowing on Main St (more like spitting bubbles out...).
Here are some pictures from our last visit... consisting mainly of eating and kiddie rides :)

Can't wait to take the little guy there in a couple years...

The Schneider Baby

So we have had this blog but never really used it... just kind of posted pictures and that was it.
We decided to keep a chronicle as well as everyone in the loop regarding our life and newly expanding family.
We are so excited to be expecting our first baby in February 2009 after 4 years of marriage and 10 years of being together.
After finding out we could barely keep the excitement in and told the family around Father's Day.
Since then, basically in a blink of an eye, we are now at 20 weeks (5 months on the dot tomorrow) and the belly keeps expanding!

Funny, I just realized that I am wearing a shade of blue in all the pics... interesting...

We had our big ultrasound at 18 weeks and got the fantastic news that we are having a BOY!! Super exciting for the Schneider and Sherwin clans, being the first boy born on either side for this geneneration (well technically the first child on the Sherwin side of this generation... details)

Here are some amazing photos from the ultrasound on 9/15/08.

Just recently (within the past week) I have began to felt little flutters in my stomach, some more "jabby" than others but still kicks nonetheless. They are inconsistent and Eric can't feel them yet (to his dismay). But last night we were at a show with loud music and he started jabbing away. I couldn't help but laugh.

So check back in every now and then and I will (hopefully) keep it up to date. Already 1/2 way through... time sure does go fast!

Sincerely,
Jennifer, Eric, and Baby
