1st shoes

As we start on the road to being a walker, it was time to get some shoes. So for Isaac's birthday Great-Grandma Ruth made it her mission to get him his first pair of shoes and therefore of course (if you know my Grandma) it happened within the week.

At first he was not so sure about those new things on his feet, but quickly he got the hang of it and actually was able to stand by himself for a few seconds longer with the extra support.

Our baby is quickly becoming a little boy...

11 months.

This time last year we all (the entire family and some friends) was scrambling to get our new home a much-much needed makeover while we anxiously awaited our new baby boy. Now, our son has hit the 11 month milestone and the time has flown.

We are babbling all sorts of stuff, eating amazingly with his fingers (love weaning off the baby food!), walking with assistance from 2 to 1 hands, and recently been able to stand on his own for ~5 seconds before sitting.

Our stats this month:
Height: 29.75 inches
Weight: 24 lbs

This month consisted of our 1st Christmas and New Years and of course many many photos ;-)

New Years Eve 2009, bringing in the 20-10.
We started the night with the Schneider family for dinner then headed over to the Miller's for some games. A little bubbly courtesy of Jen & Nick and Isaac passing out in their porta-crib let us bring in the new year with some great friends!

Hanukkah Revisited.

Just when we thought the gift giving holidays were over, we received a package in the mail from super generous cousins. They thought of our little guy and decided to spoil him!

1st Christmas Part 2.

Christmas Day.

Isaac's a lucky kid -- both Hanukkah and Christmas. Not to mention in a couple months a birthday (tooooo soon!).

By the end he was sort of getting the hang of the idea of presents. However, mom and dad did most of the work. All the family was so very generous and we are thankful for all their generosity.

Isaac stayed up until 10:30 due to all the excitement... little naps. His mood actually got better as the day went on, go figure.
This is him at 10:30pm -- what a cutie!

Here are some pics from the day:

Had to infuse a little Jewish-ness during the Christmas celebration! Gotta love a rubber ducky with a yarmulke and talit :-)

Rocking horse! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa.

Love my dump truck! Thanks Auntie Connie and Uncle Kevan.

Love my tool set! Thanks Auntie Danette and Uncle Craig.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

1st Christmas Part 1.

Christmas Eve.

With this being our 1st Christmas in our 1st home with our 1st child, we decided to take on Christmas Eve. I cooked my Grandma's brisket (huge hit!) and the kiddos even got to open a few presents early.

Here are a few pics of the night...
