Day Out with Thomas the Train

The Filmore Train Station had Thomas the Train visiting from its cross country tour, so we had to take the little man.

Accompanied by Grandpa George, we waited patiently in line (even though it was a bit warm) with all the hundreds of kids (I know! There were TONS of kids).

(He was a bit intimidated)

Got on the train and did so great! He looked out the window, hopped back and forth between Mom and Dad, and ate his goldfish.

After, we found a little bar that had what the adults needed after that kiddo train ride...

That night we hung out with Kaya and helped Daddy put in some electronic stuff.

All in all it was a great day and next year I think Isaac will enjoy it even more! Who wouldn't love trains and especially Thomas??

Kanes visit.

Max, Rachel, and Jeanie Kane came from N. CA to visit before Max's 2nd birthday.

Max LOVED his noodles!

beach day.

With our new Havianna flip flops, we were ready for the beach. It was a bit windy, but beautiful out.

This photo cracks me up - my beach zen master.

Underwood Farms.

Underwood Farms is fun for the kiddos, has John Deer tractor rides, and takes you to the fields to pick your own fruit and produce. Strawberries, oranges, and so many vegetables. Fun!

Easter 2010

Easter is always fun in the Schneider household, especially because it is Katie's Birthday (7th), cousin Sarah's birthday, and Great-Grandma Edith's birthday. The last two years will remain anonymous :)

We played with ladybugs from Katie, found a few eggs, and hung out with our favorite cousins! I swear, Carly is baby crack for our kid!!

Passover 2010

Passover at the Sherwin household is always a good time. This year I remembered the porta-crib and was able to enjoy the entire night. Unfortunately Eric had a horrible sore throat and was unable to partake in the wine drinking (his loss....)

During the festivities of reading the haggadah, Isaac walked and crawled around the table playing peek-a-boo around all the chairs. It's really hard to remember the suffering of the Jewish people while a 1yr old is giggling full belly laughs. He didn't make it long enough to have matzoh that night, but he scored after ransoming that afikomen -- unfortunately he had no idea!

no longer a baby...

Today, April 1st, our son became a walker.

He has consistently been taking 3-4 steps but then will sit or fall into your arms. Most of the past few weeks has been Isaac reaching up for your hand and then the two of you will walk around wherever he likes to go.

Today started off normal as my day off, did some errands. Isaac and I had lunch with Susie and Delores, who was visiting for Easter from AZ, at CPK (yummy!). Funny, as we were walking out of the restaurant, Isaac was holding Sus's hand and she mentioned he is going to walk independently soon....

After we got home and he took his afternoon nap, we were in the garage doing some laundry and he decided he was going to WALK! From the dryer to Mommy - over 20 steps. I was shocked and so excited. Eric was coming home in less than an hour so I held back the phone call. When Eric got home, his little man walking about 10 steps to him - loved Eric's face.

Here is my proof:
